Fight[]

Onigashima, an island that reeked of terror and not just because of the constant thunderstorms and skull-shaped cave in the middle. No, what made Onigashima such a dangerous place was the pirate who ruled it, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea and the “Strongest Creature” Kaido. His reputation alone proved enough to keep any warrior on the planet, no matter how strong or brave, away from this island.

Granted, that did not apply to warriors from beyond the stars. At the rocky beaches of Onigashima lies Kaido’s mighty castle, usually guarded by several of his subordinates. That held true a minute ago, but now they were all knocked out by the single figure left standing. A green-skinned woman with the eyes of a cold blooded killer. Throughout the cosmos she was known as the daughter of Thanos and the most dangerous woman in the galaxy: Gamora Zen Whoberi Ben Titan (Yes, that is her full name).

After disposing of the guards, Gamora took out a communicator and contacted her allies.

Gamora: Quill, come in. I’ve secured a route to Kaido’s fortress. Match my coordinates and land the Milano nearby. And make sure you keep the speakers down this time, this is a stealth mission after all.

Peter: Roger that. And for the record, you do not turn the volume down on an AC/DC song.

Rocket: Not unless you want a repeat of what happened at Hyzor last week.

Drax: But why would we want that? It was a terrible experience. I didn’t enjoy any of it.

Groot: I am Groot.

Peter: Hey, you didn’t know that the plants would attack us either. Don’t go blaming this on-

Gamora sighed as she closed the transmission on her end. Her friends would be down in a few minutes so all she had to do was wait. However, she failed to realize that not all of Kaido’s subordinates had been taken out. From atop the castle stood a woman bearing white hair, red horns, and a Wano outfit more befitting of a man. Most do not know her name, but he is the powerful son of Kaido: Yamato.

Personally, the son of Kaido had no interest in what was happening down below as it was her jerk father’s business. But since Kaido’s top officers were busy elsewhere and he was really bored, there was really only one option for her. Without hesitation she leaped off the castle and readied her club: Takeru.

After letting out a warrior’s scream, Yamato was fully prepared for battle, and Gamora, who heard the scream, turned around to see her last opponent.

Gamora: There’s one more!?

Gripping her sword Godslayer tightly, Gamora quickly swung her blade to attack. In response, Yamato swung his club and the two weapons collided with enough intensity to cause a shockwave that blew the unconscious bodies of Kaido’s crew away from the battlefield.

HERE WE GOOO!!!

The collision proved brief as Yamato held superior strength over her opponent. Gamora was pushed back by the ferocious power and flew into a rock, cratering it in the process. The guardian got up and took some deep breaths, needing to recover from the incredible damage she suffered.

Gamora: She’s stronger than she looks. I have to keep my guard up.

Yamato ran towards Gamora to swing his club at her some more. Knowing she couldn’t compete with his strength, Gamora dodged the attacks one by one. The guardian soon saw an opening in her opponent’s assault and kicked Yamato right in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him. She followed it up with some repeated blows to Yamato’s limbs, neck, and other weak points to ensure the pirate would not get a chance to retaliate. Finally, Gamora ended her combo with a massive swing of her sword, knocking Yamato away then attempted to make a finishing blow by taking out an energy blaster and firing at her target.

This wasn’t enough as Yamato got on his feet to slow down her flight and infused his arms with Armament Haki to shield herself from the bullets.

Yamato: You’re pretty strong, but I won’t lose to you!

Suddenly, a chilling presence surrounded Yamato’s club and he jumped into the air in an attempt to strike his opponent with the powered up club.

Yamato: Mahoroba!

Gamora dodged the club and it instead caused a massive burst of power on the ground. The guardian could feel a chill coming from that burst and her warrior instincts caused her to be shocked as they told her that her enemy possessed more power than she had anticipated. Of course, this sudden information processing left her open allowing Yamato to land a direct hit with his second swing sending Gamora flying to the edge of the island.

The guardian wouldn’t let that keep her down a second time as she took her sword and gun in separate hands and ran back towards her opponent. Gamora started with a series of energy blasts that Yamato effortlessly deflected with his club. But that was just a distraction for Gamora to get in close enough to swing her blade which Yamato barely had time to block.

Yamato tried to push Gamora back, but that was exactly what Gamora knew he would do. She took out an energy dagger and immediately threw it, stabbing Yamato right in the shoulder. The guardian then leaped over her opponent and attempted to kick her in the back of the neck, only for Yamato to be one step ahead of her by turning around and blocking with a Haki covered arm. Gamora leaped off the arm and landed on her feet, taking a moment to compose herself as she glared at her opponent.

Gamora: I’ll give you credit. I don’t usually face anyone as strong as you, but my business is with Kaido. If you value your life over his, then I suggest you stand aside.

Yamato: So you’re here to take my old man’s head, huh? I wouldn’t mind that. I hate his guts too. But…

Yamato grabbed the dagger in his shoulder and yanked it out before crushing it into pieces. He then gave an enraged look as his eyes began to glow blue and the area around her started to ignite with blue flames. It was clear that she did not enjoy getting stabbed like that and wanted to settle the score with her target.

Yamato: You’ve made me mad!

The pirate lept forth and swung down her club. Gamora barely managed to jump out of the way, and it was a good thing too as the attack left a huge crater covered in bits of ice. But Yamato had not finished her assault and continued swinging her blade so hard that chilling gusts came out to blast the guardian away.

Gamora fought back by pulling out her blaster and shooting Yamato directly, briefly stunning the pirate although not doing significant damage. Realizing more force would be required, Gamora dashed forward then leapt into the air to strike her opponent in the head with her sword, Godslayer. The blade hit dead center, but to the guardian’s surprise it was stopped before it could even pierce the skull. Instead, a small layer of ice protected Yamato and shattered her body’s place.

Yamato would not allow such a close call to happen again and proceeded to unveil his true power. His body transformed into a white wolf and the blue flames that appeared earlier burned more brightly as they covered his entire body.

Gamora: Jack Russel would get a kick out of this.

And that’s when Gamora got kicked by Yamato. The guardian could feel the huge increase in power as it launched her into the castle. As she lay down on the floor she saw Yamato go in for another attack. She evaded the attack and pulled out another dagger to slash the pirate on the arm causing him to howl in pain a bit. In this brief moment, Gamora proceeded to kick Yamato’s club out of her hand effectively disarming her and giving her the chance to unleash a flurry of deadly blows on her opponent.

With each blow, Gamora hoped to piece the hide of the mighty beast, but Yamato proved too tough and kept on enduring long enough to regain footing and strike back with a dual slash from his arms.

Yamato: Himorogiri!

Yamato’s slashes sent Gamora into a wall, yet the guardian powered through the pain and ran back towards the pirate. Using her sword, Gamora unleashed swing after swing only to be blocked by Yamato’s Haki-powered arms. Granted, each blow pushed the pirate back a bit creating a slight struggle, but it also pushed him right to where his club had landed. Stomping on the ground, Yamato got her weapon into the air and grabbed it. He attempted to bash Gamora with it only for the latter to jump away and get some distance.

Yamato: You won’t get away that easily! Namuji Hyoga!

Yamato let out an icy blast from her mouth forcing Gamora to run around to avoid it. The laser wrecked everything in the castle turning it into an icy graveyard, although the intended target could not be touched by the blast. Still, Gamora knew she couldn’t run forever and changed tactics by lunging at Yamato and tackling her with enough power to send both of them out of the castle and back to where the fight originally began. Gamora then got Yamato pinned down and attempted to slay the beast with her sword.

Gamora: Play dead, Fido!

Gamora thrust her sword down, but Yamato stopped the attack with her club and used it to push her off.

Yamato: Not going to happen!

Yamato pushed Gamora off him and the latter used her acrobatics to land back on her feet. The pirate then swung his club a couple times, but Gamora jumped out of the way. With the third swing, Yamato struck the earth and launched a barrage of rubble at his foe, catching her off guard and stunning her. Now that Gamora was vulnerable, Yamato charged up electricity in his club and prepared to deal the finishing blow.

Yamato: Thunder Bagua!

As the pirate swung her club Takeru, the guardian took out her sword, Godslayer, in a desperate attempt to stop the blow. However, that effort was in vain and Godslayer was shattered into pieces. The mighty blow also sent Gamora flying into a nearby rock, nearly shaking the earth around her upon impact. Believing that the fight had ended, Yamato relaxed and set his club down.

Yamato: That girl sure was strong.

Yamato prepared to walk back into the castle only to get hit in the cheek by an unexpected laser. He turned around to see that it came from Gamora who had barely survived thanks to Godslayer reducing the power of his attack. Now wielding two laser pistols, Gamora charged in using her weapons to provide covering fire as she got close.

Gamora: I have had enough of you, fleabag!

Yamato: Don’t think you’ll stop me so easily!

Powering through the bullets, Yamato dashed forward to meet Gamora. Once the two were in close range, Gamora dealt a swift kick to the pirate’s neck, stopping his momentum long enough for her to pull out a knife and stab Yamato in the chest.

Yamato howled in pain, but it wasn’t enough to put her down. He tried to smash the guardian with his club, but got caught off guard by the green woman suddenly grabbing his arm and throwing him away. He landed on his back and didn’t get the time to recuperate as Gamora got on top of him again, this time holding a giant laser cannon aimed right at his head.

Gamora: Stand down, unless you want your head blown off!

Yamato: D*mn you!

Not heeding Gamora’s words, Yamato charged up another Namuji Hyoga in an attempt at retaliation. Gamora reacted quickly and rammed her gun down Yamato’s throat, stopping her attack before it could happen. She immediately pulled the trigger and the gun let out a giant laser blast that devastated the pirate from the inside out.

Yamato’s body then exploded and splashed blood everywhere. Some of the blood splattered on Gamora’s face, but didn’t faze her as she had experienced fights like this many times before. Taking a deep breath, the Guardian of the Galaxy got up, wiped her face, and prepared to move on.

Gamora: Target eliminated.

She was then altered to the sound of her team’s spaceship arriving at the port and turned around to greet her teammates.

Rocket: Alright, we’re here. And may I just say parking here is a b*tch! Woah, Gamora! What happened to you?

Gamora: Had a bit of trouble with the locals. That’s all.
