Interlude[]
Sypha Belnades is walking around a town by herself, in search of more info about Dracula. To get to the place she thinks she can find more info, Sypha needs to walk through an alley way. This alley way isn't very narrow, allowing enough space for combat. As she is walking through the alley, she spots Scarlet David practicing in front of her, blocking her way. Scarlet is oblivious to Sypha, who stops behind him.
Sypha: Hey!
Scarlet David doesn't hear her and continues practicing his combat.
Sypha: HEY!!!
This time, Scarlet David hears her and stops fighting, turning around towards Sypha.
Scarlet David: What?
Sypha: You're kind of in the way of me. Can you go practice somewhere else?
Scarlet David: Sorry miss, but it took forever to find a good practice area here. I'm not leaving.
Sypha: If you don't let me cross this area, I'll have to move you by force.
Scarlet David: Sigh, I guess I get more training then.
He takes out his sword as Sypha gets ready to fight.

Sypha Belnades starts it off by summoning four small icicles around her, with Scarlet David dashing at Sypha. Once Scarlet reaches her, he starts lunging several swipes from his sword, which Sypha blocks with her icicles. Suddenly, Sypha extends an icicle from the ground directed at Scarlet vertically, which he barely manages to dodge. He quickly reacts to the close encounter by slashing the icicle in half, before leaping at Sypha. Scarlet David tries slashing Sypha in the chest, but she blocks it with one of her icicles, which shatters in contact with Davidβs sword. She then attempts to hit Scarlet with the three remaining icicles, which he manages to dodge, while shattering two of the icicles. With the last remaining icicle, Sypha hurls it towards Scarlet David, who dodges it with a backflip. Right before Scarlet lands on the ground, he takes out his gun and fires a bullet towards Sypha. She quickly blocks the incoming bullet with a swift icicle, which gets shattered by the fast bullet. Despite this, Sypha manages to dodge it, before firing three fireballs at Scarlet David. He evades the first two fireballs by jumping to the side, before dodging the last one by front flipping above it, towards Sypha. Once the huntsman reaches her, he manages to kick Sypha in the head, causing her to stagger back. He then drops to the ground and slashes his sword horizontally at her, but Sypha dodges the attack. She tries counter-attacking by hurling a point-blank fire blast at him, but Scarlet quickly flips behind Sypha. He then attempts a back-handed sword slash at Sypha, but she jumps back, before successfully hitting him with a point-blank fire blast.
This launches Scarlet David into the air, where he recovers and fires a grappling hook from his gun at Sypha Belnades. She quickly reacts to this by summoning an ice wall from the ground to block the hook. This gets Scarletβs grappling hook stuck into the ice, and Sypha follows that up by extending the ice wall forwards, towards Scarlet. He reacts to this by rolling to the side whiles till mid-air, dodging the wall of ice. Once Scarlet lands on the ground, he starts dashing towards Sypha, before she collapses the ice wall onto him. Luckily, for Scarlet David, he manages to react to the ice wall shattering fast enough to roll to the other side of the alley way. Once he successfully avoids any major injuries from the shattered ice, he leaps towards Sypha with his sword raised. However, before Scarlet could reach her, Sypha conjures a small whirlwind. This swirls Scarlet David in several circles mid-air, before hurling Scarlet into the air. Once he gets flung from the sudden whirlwind, Scarlet recovers mid-air and uses his semblance to glide away from Sypha. The scholar starts shooting several fast fireballs towards Scarlet, who dodges them while still gliding. However, one of Syphaβs fireballs manages to smack Scarlet in his back, causing him to tumble into the ground.
Once Scarlet David makes contact with the rough concrete pavement, he rolls across it before getting up. Scarlet looks forwards and notices Sypha Belnades covering the ground with ice, causing it to be very slippery. He then sees Sypha using one hand to propel herself forwards with fire, with her other hand to conjure up a disc of ice above her. She hurls the disc of ice towards Scarlet David, who reacts fast enough to raise his sword towards the ice. Once the disc of ice collides with Scarletβs sword, the two sharp weapons clash with each other. Scarletβs sword manages to slash through the disc of ice, causing the two halves of it to crash behind Scarlet. However, because of the icy and slippery surface, he accidentally slips and falls onto his stomach. Scarlet attempts to get up, though he clearly struggles with doing so. Once he manages to stand up, he notices Sypha Belnades summoning an ice wall behind him, while hurling several icicles at Scarlet. He screams out in fear as he moves his limbs to barely dodge the incoming ice spikes. He breathes a sigh of relief once he does so, before looking towards Sypha.
Scarlet: Take this!
He takes his gun out and fires it towards Sypha, which barrels towards her at swift speeds. She barely manages to dodge the bullet, before firing a fireball at Scarlet. The Team SSSN member dodges the counter-fireball, which blows up the ice wall. He quickly manages to reach Sypha, and once he does, he slashes her in the stomach. Scarlet David then follows that up by flipping behind Sypha and lunging a second slash towards her. This time, she dodges the attempted strike, before counter-attacking by placing her palm onto Scarlet and firing a close-ranged fireball. This launches him a far distance away, but he quickly manages to recover while sliding on the ground. Considering the icy and slippery surface heβs on, he understandably struggles a bit to stay stable, but eventually manages to stabilize. He looks forwards and spots Sypha removing the ice from the ground, likely to make movement a little easier for her. She then summons several balls of ice around her, which she hurls towards Scarlet. He quickly dashes forwards while smashing the balls of ice in the process. Once he gets close enough to Sypha, the pirate attempts to swipe at Sypha twice, but she dodges both. However, Sypha doesnβt dodge the third attack, which is a leaping kick that Scarlet David follows up with a bicycle kick.
This attack launches Sypha into the air, which Scarlet quickly follows up with an aerial juggling combo, finishing with a powerful kick downwards. This smashes Sypha into the ground, creating a small dent into the rough pavement. She looks up at Scarlet David, who attempts thrusting his sword into her stomach. Swiftly, Sypha Belnades creates a sturdy platform of ice above her, which blocks the attempted stab. She then rolls backwards, away from the platform of ice, before attempting to use this window of opportunity by hurling a swift fireball at Scarlet. However, Scarlet manages to pull his sword out, and leap above the ice platform before Sypha could successfully counter-attack. Whilst mid-air, he takes his gun out and fires a grappling hook at Sypha, which hooks onto her arm. Scarlet David then pulls himself towards Sypha and quickly kicks her in the stomach, before dropping to the ground and following that up with an attempted sword slash. However, Sypha Belnades quickly recovers fast enough to blast Scarlet into the air with a powerful fireball, before following it up with several more fireballs. These flaming projectiles hit Scarlet many times in the air, before one final, more powerful fireball hits David a far distance away. The attack hits him so far away; he gets launched out of the alley way, onto the rough pavement near the town fountain. His sword also gets launched out of his hand. Scarlet slowly gets up and looks forwards at Sypha, who traps his feet in ice. Scarlet David looks at his trapped feet in surprise, before taking his gun out and aiming it at Sypha. Before he could fire it, however, Sypha furiously summons a spike of ice which gets to her opponent faster. Once the sharp spike of ice reaches Scarlet David, it stabs through his stomach. He throws up blood as his entire body gets frozen into a statue of ice.
Afterwards, Sypha Belandes hurriedly dashes towards Scarletβs frozen body, before stabbing her palm into the frozen huntsman. She then summons a powerful giant wave of fire inside of him, which completely incinerates Scarlet David. Sypha pulls her hand back and stares down towards the tiny surviving shards of ice, before walking back into the alley way.
